I’m running a map on my blog using Google maps as well and would love to know how to get and use your map marker (it’s great!).

We are using a plugin for WordPress called Comprehensive Google Map:

It is setup to add a map on each post, and the one you see in this page is the compilation of all the places. I just set the size of the individual posts map to zero so it doesn’t display.
