I was excited to receive my two complimentary copies of The Bark today, which features this:
No, it’s not an entire spread on Milo (although he does have some fascinating views on low-income housing in the Bay Area). It’s a piece about the practical points of traveling with your little buddy on the Pan-American Highway. When we first returned home, I set out to write a blog about this, since so many of our readers have contacted us with questions about doing similar trips with their dogs.
The folks at The Bark were fabulous to work with, and they even combed through my massive store of trip photos to make the selection that appears in the four-page spread.
If you’re interested in taking on the ultimate road trip with your dog(s), check out Issue 79 of The Bark, available through October. In the article, I mentioned that blogs are the best way to stay current on dog issues while abroad, and listed a few blogs that might be helpful, including the all-encompassing Drive the Americas, and two other couples with dogs (and more or less up-to-date blogs), Neli’s Big Adventure and Vangabonds.
And yes, if you send us your printed edition, Milo will sign it for you and send it back.
I also want to say thanks again for everyone who responded to us about our last post. The support and good vibes mean so much to us.
