We saw this in Holbrook, Arizona:
That’s right! A beetle-camper! And it’s for sale, by the way, for $8500. And you can tell I’ve been spending too much time with Juan because I stood there wondering how the thing handled.
The second thing I’ve got to mention is: Drive-In Movies. Yes, they still exist, and they’re very family-friendly places and even if you don’t have a Westy you should go to one because they are the best. We went to TWO on the way from Chicago to Los Angeles, one in Belleville, IL:
Since I’m from San Francisco I’m technically supposed to hate Los Angeles, but I had a great time. We stayed in Westlake and I got to see my friends, go the beaches, and even see the Tar Pits while the pony got to rest for six whole nights. No complaints there. But here is why people hate Los Angeles:
Fires and traffic.
Now we’re back in San Francisco and the pony is at the vet and it is probably the only place under the 50th parallel under 80 degrees and I’m like oh why.
