During the trip, we’ve met lots of people who are traveling similarly. Some times we “meet” them online, before meeting in person. Some times we just run into them at campgrounds.

Here are some photos of some of them, with links to their blogs. I figured this was better than to put a blogroll to the side.

Jen and Bryan: we got in touch with these two via The Samba, before we even left on our trip. We ended up meeting them and their dog Karma in Baja, where we shared a couple of meals and a night of urban camping in the rain. Then we met them again in Guadalajara, for Vochorama. Their bog is TheDangerz.

Ah, those days of cheap tacos and beer…

We run into Kellee and Jaimie, the “tranquilos” randomly on the beach in Baja. He walked by, said “nice van”, and next thing we knew we were making dinner together that night. We met them again in the Yucatan and in San Cristóbal. Sadly, it seems like they are already on their way back to California and we won’t cross paths. Their blog is Tranquilo Adventures.

The Trnaquilos, minus their dog Reyna, and with their truck in the background.

No pictures, but in the Oaxaca coast and later in San Cristobal we met Bonnie and Dave, who drive a beautiful 84 Westy and blog at Vagabonandave.

Diana and Steven are from Holland, driving a beautiful 72 Westfalia they bought in Mexico. They’ll eventually make it to South America, so we hope to meet them again. Their blog is Digital Nomadz.

Nice bus!

Karen and Henrik were at the end of an awesome trip when we met them in San Cristobal. They had a lot to tell us about traveling in South America. Their blog is Lifes2shortnot2.

Linda and Aaron are driving an 86 Westy, and just crossed into Colombia. Hopefully we’ll run into these two again! Their blog is Andamos de vagos.

Aaron, I should have accepted your offer of dropping the gas tank of the Westy ourselves.

We met Michaela and Felix through a common friend, and ended up meeting in Granada for dinner. They are going a bit faster than we are, but hopefully we’ll meet again in Argentina. Their blog is We Panam.

I’m wearing long sleeves there, to hide the bug bites from Masaya.

We met Jen and Jonathan online, before meeting in person. After a couple of attempts at meeting, including one time when they drove past us (we were walking) in Suchitoto without seeing us, we finally met for lunch near San José. They are now on their way back to the US from Panama, and their blog is Drive Chuck Drive.

That van in the back is Chuck, not the Pony.

There’s more travelers that we met, but these guys are the ones I had photos of, and who had a blog. I’m sorry if I forgot you!
