The Main part of the plan is that there is no plan.
We will drive to Chicago and back to begin with. That alone is about the distance we’ll end up driving to get to Central America. In Chicago, I plan to do some last minute improvements in the Pony.
Then in early September, we go for the border. We’ll drive down Baja, and take the ferry to the main land from La Paz.
Other than that, we want to be somewhere interesting for Dia de los Muertos, and somewhere in the Yucatán peninsula for the Mayan end of the world. That’s about how much of a plan we have.
We leave for Chicago today.

I hope you’ll be back in SF for the beginning of August … :-)
